The Wallpaper symbolizes imprisonment along with all the other things in the room that resemble a prison. A nailed down bed. Bars on the Window, Torn Wallpaper. The Wallpaper is what affect her the most. For she sees a woman trapped within the wallpaper trying to escape the pattern. The story is exciting and twisting and I recommend this story to be the first read among the other 2.
