Young Goodman Brown

The Story at first was very confusing and I dislike old dialect and the old fashion way of writing however the story is in a sense poetic and rich. The way the author illustrates and write leave the reader (Me) Interested and question what will happen? or What happened after the unexplained end. The authors style of writing is something I will need to get used to. The way the author illustrates Goodman with a shaking faith easily dismantled by the questionable reality or dream the narrator witnessed first hand realizing that his Wife faith that held his faith intact was evil. Leaves me wondering if it was a dream or not. I believe it was a dream and his paranoia made him mad.

  1. As you have mentioned, I was also confused when I first read it. And as confused after reading the story for the second time because the author keeps change between dreaming and the reality. Since I never read a story like this, the way that the characters talk had made me more confused. However, I understand the general idea of the story.
